The relationship is recorded in Dugdale (6:1:135) in an extract from the chronicle of the Abbey of Llanthony Secunda: “Humfredus septimus de Bohun desponsavit Matildem de Fenes.” Letters patent dated 15-20 June 1275 describing a marriage bond and arrangements for dower are given in the Calendar of Charter Rolls (Vol. 2, pp. 190-192).
