[1634] The xxxi day of March was Baptzed Thomazine Browne the daughter of Thomas Browne and of Jone his wife

Thomas’s will:


In the name of god Amen This 21st day of Aprill in the yeare of our lord god 1640 I Thomas Browne of the walltowne in the p[ar]ishe of Neene Savadge in the County of Salop & dioces of Hereford tayler beyng sicke in body but blessed be god of p[er]fecte memory doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme following. Imprimis I comend my spiritt into my Redeemers hands & my body I bequeath to Christian buriall in Neenes Churchyard. Item I give & bequeath to my daughter Tomazine the full sum[m]e of twenty pounds of lawfull english money and she to receive the same when she comes to age. Item I give & bequeath all my goods [...] & [...] to my wyfe & daughter to be equally divided betweene them my debts beyng paid and my funerall discharged Item I give & bequeath Jone with wyfe the use of my house & ground during her naturall life & likewise the increase of my daugh[ters] portion till she come to age to educate & mayntaine her in the meane[?] space & to keepe the building sufficient repaire and after the decease of her [...] she my daughter to have both house & ground [to] her & her heires of her body lawfully begotten [for] ever, and for want of heires so begotten to [..] her kinsman John Warton of Ba..dley in the p[ar]ish of Stotesden & to his heires for ever. Item I appoynt Elizabeth now only knowne by the name of Elizabeth Browne whoe is lyving with me that chamber wherein she now is & the same to enioy with out molestation till my daughter come to age, Item I appoynt Richard Monney & my kinsman John Warton [...] my ioynt executors to see this my last testament fulfilled according to the true intent & meaning hereof & they to have theire charg on those increase of my daughters stocke for any [...] & expences which they shall happen to be at in this behalfe In witnes whereof I have hereunto putt my hand & seal the day & yeare above written Thomas Browne his marke. Sealed & delivered in the syghte & presence of John Spilbury Tomas Morris his marke Joane Crundall her marke
