Peter’s will:


In the name of God Amen the xxixth day of Januarye Anno dmi 1613 I Peter Browne of the p[ar]ishe of Neene Savage and dioces of Hereford sicke in body, but perfecte in my remembrance, god be praysed therefore, Doe make this my Testament contayning my last and whole will in manner and forme followinge viz, First I bequeath my sowle into the mercifull hands of God through Jesus Christ my redeemer, by whose passion, deathe and precious bloud shedinge I trust to be saved, And my body to be buryed in the Churchyard of Neene Savage, Itm I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my servante doe much new hempen Cloths as shall make her two smocks Ann my will is, that my wief shall dresse the hempe which I have and convert or make yt in Cloths and thereof to delyver soe much of the foresaid Cloths unto the fore named Elizabethe for the makinge of her two smocks, and all that shall remayne of the said Cloths to be equally divyded betweene my said wief and my executor hereafter named / Itm my will is, that my sonne Thomas Browne shall permitt and suffer Joyse my wief to have the use of one Chamber with place and beinge in the hall howse with accesse unto the Fyre for her personely to doe her necessarye worke fytt for that place and the one half of all the Apples growinge nereby about the howse, and the sowinge of one hoope of hempseede yerely, Itm yt is my will that he shall permitt and suffer her to have and enioy the same with free ingresse and egresse into and unto the same at all tyme and tymes convenient soe longe as she shall keepe her slef a wydowe in my name and remayne unmaryed, and not otherwise, All the rest of my goodes debts Cattells and Chattells of what nature soe ever, not heretohore given and bequeathed, my debts and funerall expenses payd and dischargded, I give and bequeathe unto Thomas Browne my sonne whom I make and ordayne my sole executor, Also my will is, That yf my said sonne shall happen to departe this lyef before he shall be of lawfull age, then the said goodes to be equally devyded betwene Mr Thomas Warton and John Warton his kinsemen, And I ordayne, overseer of this my will Thomas Thornton gentlem[an]

The will of Joyce Browne:


In the Name of God Amen. I Joyce Browne of the Wall towne in the parish of Nene Savage in the County of Salop and Diocesse of Hereford widow, being sicke in body but of good and perfect memory, praised be God, Doe make my last Will and Testament in maner and forme following First I bequeath my soule into the handes of Almightie God and my body to Christian buriall. And as concerning the goodes that God hath bestowed upon me I dispose as followeth. Imprimis I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Rowley twelve pence and my yeard kerchiefe & blewe apron. Item I give and bequeath all the rest of my goodes to my Sonne in Lawe Thomas Browne, whom I make, constitute and ordaine my sole executor of this my last Will and Testament. And soe I revoking all former Wills have hereunto put my hand this sixth day of October. 1630.
