Commentary


A Mary Beattie's 1865 death record gives her age as 72 and her parents as William Beattie, shepherd, deceased, and Margaret Anderson. Mary married Gideon Palmer in 1810 in Ettrick and died 21 November 1865 in Heatherlie, Selkirk.
