Commentary
Mary’s parentage:
The 1718 marriage bond describes Mary as aged 25, single, and of the parish of Hallow.
The parish register records the baptism of Mary, daughter of Richard and Mary Radnold in 1689. The age is about four years off, but age of Mary’s husband given in the marriage bond is also several years too young.
The name is “Radnall” rather than “Radnor”, but the Hallow register in several places records the name of the same person in one place as “Radnold” or “Radnall” and in another as “Radnor” or “Radner”. Mary’s brothers are named Radnor/Radner in their baptism entries (1681 and 1688) and Radnall in their burial entries (1695).
Richard and Mary Radner were living in Hallow between 1679 and 1727. In 1679, Richard Radnor married Mary Price. Their eldest child was baptized in 1681 and Mary in 1689. In his 1699 will, Edmund Radnor of Claines named his brother Richard Radnor of Hallow. Richard and Mary Radner were buried in Hallow in 1727. I am not aware of any other reasonable candidate parents for Mary.
Taken together, the evidence for Mary Radnor’s parentage is sufficient.
