This date is given by Baldwin (LaI). It is recorded in The Annals of Ulster (U682.1), and the Annals of Tigernach (T682.1): “The slaying of Cennfaelad son of Colgu, king of Connacht, and Ulcha Derg O Caellaige of the Conmaicne of Cúil, slew him after his house had been stormed by the Conmaicne.” The Annals of Inisfallen record it in 681.
