Events
Date of Birth: about 1779.
Place of Birth: Lancashire, England.
The 1851 census (taken 30 March) gives her age as 72. It gives the place, apparently, as “Leigath”, which does not seem to exist. I haven’t managed to come up with a plausible alternative interpretation of the handwriting. Perhaps "Leigh" or "Leagate" was meant.
Date of Baptism: unknown.
Place of Baptism: unknown.
Date of Death: 31 May 1854.
Place of Death: Kiln Houses, Eccleston, Lancashire.
The date and place are recorded on the death certificate.

Commentary
Elizabeth’s family were presumably Catholic, and she was presumably related to the Martha Jump who was a sponsor at the baptism of Elizabeth’s first child and the Ann Jump who was a sponsor at the baptism of her second child.
On 16 March 1788 Martha daughter of Thomas and Ann Jump was baptized at the Roman Catholic Our Lady, Portico, Prescot. One suspects that this was the Martha who sponsored Elizabeth’s first child at her baptism and that she was Elizabeth's sister. This suspicion is strengthened by the observation that William and Elizabeth named their eldest daughter Ann and their second son Thomas, which would accord with the traditional pattern of naming one’s eldest daughter after the mother’s mother and the second son after the mother’s father.
The Ann Jump who was a sponsor of her second child was perhaps her sister or mother.
