The will of Edward Pryce:


In the Name of God Amen I Edward Pryce/ of the Parish of Llandinam in the County of Montgomery and In the Dioses of Bangor/ being feeble and sickly In Body but of Sound and Perfect mind and Memory Thanks be given to Almighty God, and calling to mind the Mortality of all mankind, that all men are appointed once to Die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament In manner and form as followeth; First and Principally I give and Recommend my Soul Into the hands of almighty God that Gave it; hoping for the meritorious Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my saviour; to Receive full and Free Pardon for all my Sins, and my Body I order’d to be buried according to the direction and discretion of my Executors hereafter Mention’d; as Tutching such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and bequeath as followeth First I give and bequeath to my Son Thomas Pryce the sum of one Shilling also I give and bequeath to my Son Edward Pryce the sum of one Shilling also I give and bequeath to my Son Richard Pryce the Like sum of one Shilling also I order that all my debts and funeral Expences be paid and cleared by my Executors hereafter named; also I give and bequeath to my dear beloved Wife Jane Pryce, and my Son John Pryce all the Rest of my Goods & Chattles Cattle and all that appertaineth or belong to me in amy wise to thier [...] and for thier use; and I do Constitute and apoint the said Jane Pryce and John Pryce my only and sole Joint Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and I doe hereby utterly disanull and Revoke all former Wills and Testaments before by me made Ratifying and Confirming this to be my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I do Hereunto Put my hand and Seal this Twenty first day of August In the year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and Seventy four
