The baptism entry of John’s child in 1618 records the father as “John Hamonde the yonger”. In the 1620 will of John Hammond the elder of Stottesdon, a witness was “John Hamond his eldest sonne”.
In the Stottesdon parish register there are these entries in 1621:
John Hamond the elder was buried the xxviijth day of November.
Fraunces Hamond his wife was buried the Third day of December.
The Stottesdon register also records the 1568 marriage of John Hammond and Frances Hinton.
