In the name of god Amen I Edward Morgans of Glynhyveren in the parish of Llanidloes in the County of Mountgomery gent being sick in body but in good perfect & sound memory Laud & praise be unto the Allmighty God make this my last will & Testament conteyning therein my Last will in maner & forme followeing First I bequeath my Soule to god my maker & redeemer in & through whose merits I hope to receive full pardon and forgiveness of all my sinns & my body to bee buried in Christian buriall in the parish Church of Llanidloes aforesaid: Item I give and bequeath unto the sd church 4d & to the poore of the sd parish in bread on the day of my buriall [...] shillings: And being mindefull to settle & dispose of that smale[?] estate or fallow[?] the lord hath beyn pleased to endowe mee with amongst my children & that eatch of them should have a comp[or]ton[?] [...] after my decease I doe hereby give devise & bequeath unto my both Brothers in Law Jenkin Vaughan & Morgan Vaughan of Jordanston in the County of Pembrooke gen’ & to Moris Morgans of Llanidloes in the County of Mountgomery gen’ my owne Brother & to theire heires & assignes all those my messuages Lands tenements & hereditaments with thappurtenances in the parish of Trefegloes comonly caled and knowne by the severall names of Keven barrach Bulch yr helygen, and Tyddin Lottin withall theire rights members & appurtenances to the same descending & coming to me by the will of my late Cousin David David Lloyd gent after the decease of his mother Margrett Morgans therein named together with all and singular the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders of the same unto [...] the sd Jenkin Vaughan Morgan Vaughan & Morris Morgan & theire heires & assignes for ever to the uses herein aftermentioned & expressed by the severall names of Keven Barrach Bulch yr helygen & Tyddin Lettin aforesaid that is to say untill the sume of three hundred pounds of good & Lawfull moneys of england shall bee raised out of [...] from the said premisses for the porcioning of my three daughters, Machald Morgans Jane Morgans & Margarett Morgans (vizt) the sume of one hundred pounds appeece to eatch of them either by sale of the said premisses of otherwise as the discresion of my said frends[?] Jenkin Vaughan Morgan Vaughan & Morris Morgans or any two of them shall seem best & most convenient & after sutch times that my debts are payd & discharged out and from the profits of the same then the sd Lands & tenements with its appurtenances ortherwise the surplusadge of the value thereof to bee and revert unto my well bee loved Sonne & heire John Morgans & his heires for ever & provided allwaies that if my said sone shall [...] moneys and pay downe the said summe of three hundred pounds and all sutch sumes of money as I am now indebted unto any person or persons that then the said Lands & Tennements aforesaid and not to be disposed of or paid my my said named friends but to bee and remaine to him my sd Son & to his heires forever any thing herein confermed to the contrary not withstanding; And my will further is that if the sd sume of three hundred pounds cannot be raised out and from the said premisses aforesaid that the lands by mee now held & descending to me from my father after his decease by what names or titles whatsoever they be called or known shall be chargeable with the payment of the aforesaid sume of three hundred pounds aforesaid and the payments of my said debts and afterward to the use and behoofe of my sd sone and heire and his heires forever; Item I doe constitute nominate and apoint my well beloved wife Sara Morgans to be my sole executrix & doe hereby give and bequeath unto her all my personall estate moveable & unmoveable & shee to pay & be paied all my sd debts and to defray my funerall expences: And my will is that if either of my said daughters shall dye or do part this life be fore shee atains one & twentie yeares of age; or that shee be married: that then her hundred pounds portion aforesaid be equally devided between the other two daughters her surviveing her; funerall charge being thereout Defraied & discharged; Item I desire my sd loveing friends aforesaid to be helpfull & ayding unto my sd Loveing wife in the Tutorshipe & education of my sd children & to see eatch of them right hereby[?] given equally payed performed, whence I doe hereby appoint supervisors of my sd will and to oversee the educating of all my sd children; In wittness whereof I have here unto put my hand & seale the xiiith day of June Ano Domini 1672

In the name of god amen the tenth day of November in the sixe and twentieth yeare of the reigne of our Souveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of god of England Scottland France and Ireland Kinge defender of the faith and in the yeare of our Lord god one thousand sixe hundred seaventy and Fowr I John Morgan Evan of the p[ar]ish of Llangirrick in the county of Mountgomery beinge sicke in body but of sound and p[er]fect minde and memory praysed be god my Creator for the same, haveinge a desire to setle that estate in this world at p[re]sent which the Lord of his mercy hath lent and given me in this world I doe declare this to be my last will and testament, and I doe hereby revoke all other wills whatsoever by me in my time heretofore made and declared; first I comend my soule into the hands of allmighty god and through the death of my savior Jesus Christ I hope assuredly to have full pardon and remission for my sinnes and my body to the earth from whence it came in christian buriall at the discretion of my Executor First I give devise and bequeath unto Sara Vaughan my Daughter in law and to my grandchildren fifteen pounds to be equally devided between them Itm I give devise and bequeath unto Moris Morgan my son a p[ar]cell of wood ground contayning aboute three acres called and knowen by the name of Parke Jenkin ap Evan Ten(?) above the way that leads from Nant y bras to Nant yr Kebog scituate lieing and being in the Townshippe of Glynbrochan in the parish of Llangirricke and county of Mountgomery to have and to hould for the tearme of his life and after his decease to Edward Morgan his son for the tearme of his life and after his decease to Edward Lloyd the sonne of John Lloyd to have and to hould for the tearme of his life and from and after his decease to Jenkin William of Trefeglwys my grandchild for the tearme of his life and after his decease unto his brother Edward William for the tearme of his life and after his decease to John William and to his heires for ever.


Item I give give devise and bequeath unto Moris Morgan my onely sonne one Burgage house newly builded scittuate lieinge and beinge in hoêl y bontwêr in the towne of Llanidlos and county of Mountgomery wherein one Humphrey ap Richard nowe dwelleth together with stable parke sides gardens privileges Kurtiladges comons comodities liberties easm’ts and hereditaments with appurtenances thereunto belonging but the said Moris Morgan & his heires forever than the said Moris Morgan my sonne to pay the summe of Fowreteen pounds sixe pounds to be paid to John Lloyds sixe children twenty shillings apeece, and sixe pounds unto Jenkin Williams sixe children twenty shillings apeece and two pounds to Moris Morgan children twenty shillings apeece the first sixe pounds to be paid unto Jenkin William to the use of his children upon the nine and twentieth Day of September next ensueinge the Date hereof and the rest and residue of the said legacie to be payed upon the first Day of May in the yeare of our lord one thousand sixe hundred seaventy and [...] and I doe nominate appointe my deere and Loveinge wife Jane Morgan and my Loveinge son Moris Morgan to be my lafull executors of my last will and testament In wittnes whereof I put my hande and seale to this page or leafe of my said will the day and yeare first above written John Morgan
