Jane’s will:


In the name of God Amen; The eight and Twentieth day of March in the fyfteenth yeare of the raigne of our Sou[er]aigne Lord Charles by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland king defender of the faith &c. I Jane Evans late of Rhydykarw in the Countie of Mountgomery and diocese of Bangor widdow being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thankes and laude be given to the allmighty God doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followeing, and revoking all other or former wills & testaments by me heretofore made; First I doe com[m]itt com[m]end and bequeath my soule to the almighty God my Creator hopeing to haue full pardon and forgiuenes of all my sinnes therough and by the bloud and passion of my redeemer Jesus Christ, and my body to be buried after Christian buriall Item I give and bequeath unto my welbeloved daughter Sara Parton the sum[m]e of tenn shillings of lawfull money of England, Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandchild Edward Evans the som[m]e of twelve pence of like lawfull English money Item I give and bequeath to my Grandchilde Richard Parton the som[m] of twelve pence of like lawfull money of England Item whereas I doe owe and am truly indebted unto my welbeloved daughter Ursula Evans spinster in severall som[m]es of money amounting to the totall some of three hundred pounds of lawfull money of England and upwards towards the payment and satisfaccon of the which said som[m]e of three hundred pounds and towards the prefermt in marriage I doe give and bequeath unto my said daughter Ursula all my annuity and the arrerages thereof due unto me of and from Bridget Evans sonne and heyre apparant unto my beloved sonne Morgan Evans deceased by vertue of a decree made in his mats. high Court of Chancery dated the fyve and twenty day of Aprill in the eleaventh yeare of his mats raigne that now is over England &c. and in order thereuppon bearing date the eight & twentieth day of June in the thirteenth yeare of his ma’ties raigne that now is over England & whereof I haue receaved by the hands of John ap Evan of the parrish of Treveglwys in the said Countie of Mountgom[er]y Millner the som[m]e of fyve pounds being part of the arrerages of the said annuitie due unto me from the said Bridget Evans or Edward Evans by vertue of the said decree and order as aforesaid Item I doe nominate Constitute ordaine and appoint my said welbeloved daughter Ursula Evans my true sole and lawfull executrix of this my said last will and Testament. In wittnes whereof I haue published this my said last will and testament, and thereunto have putt my marke and seale the day and yeare abouesaid the marke of the said Jane Evans, int he presence and sight of the p[er]sons subscribed Cornelius Evans Thomas Morris Hugh ap Humfry Thomas Williams.
