Commentary
William’s parentage
The only baptism in the right neighbourhood in the right time period is the 1628 baptism in Lighthorne of “ William filius Willihel: Harbar”.
In his 1666 will, William Harbar of Lightorne indicates that his son William is still alive in 1666 and has children.
In her 1672 will, Mary Harbart of Lighthorne, widow, mentions her son WIlliam Harbar and his children.
In his 1696 will, William and Mary’s son John indicates that he had land in Harbury.
Taken together, the evidence is fairly good that William’s parents were William and Mary Harbar of Lighthorne.
