The Lancashire VCH (6:sub Chorley) specifies that the husband of Margaret was the Adam Banastre who was executed in 1315. The History of Parliament, however, states that Adam died c. 1329. This seems to be contradicted by the Lancashire VCH (7: sub Mitton), which states that Margaret is documented as Adam’s widow in 1323-4.
