These relationships are given in the VCH (Vol. 5, sub Middleton), which notes that Margery’s father was John Barton, that John’s wfe was named Margaret, and that John had been contracted to marry Margaret, daughter of Sir John Byron, or, if Margaret died before then, Margaret’s sister Ellen.

Spouse: Sir Ralph Ashton.

This relationship is given by the Visitation of Lancashire taken in 1567 (p. 28). The marriage was contracted in 1439 (VCH, citing Dods. MSS. cxlii, fol. 132, 133).
