Place of Birth: unknown.

Elizabeth was less than four years old when Richard Delves was nine (Murphy p. 14). Richard Delves was 13 years old in 7 Henry 6 (Ormerod 3:552).


Date of Death: April or May 1502.

Place of Death: unknown.

Elizabeth made her will 20 April 1502 and it was proved 6 May 1502.

Father: Robert Winnington.

Mother: Margaret Norwood.

These relationships are given by Murphy (p. 14).


Spouse: Richard Delves. Nullified 8 July 1439.

The marriage was contracted when Richard was nine and Elizabeth less than four years old. When Richard came of age, he withheld his consent and the marriage was nullified. (Murphy p. 14; Rowney p. 354).


Spouse: Sir Humphrey Blount.

This relationship is given by Murphy (p. 14).

Greseley v Eggerton.

Plaintiffs: John Greseley, knight, and Margarete his wife, and Elizabeth, her daughter.

Defendants: Rauf Eggerton and Richard Delves.

Subject: Manor of Dodyngton, and lands, etc in Weston, and the manor of Crakemarsh, given by John Delves in dower to said Elizabeth on her marriage at the age of 4 years with Richard, his son, of the age of 10. Cheshire Staffordshire.


Elizabeth left a 1502 will (in Latin) in which she stated that she was lately the wife of Sir Humphrey Blount, deceased, and that she wished to be buried in the church of St John the Baptist in Kinlet. She made bequests to:

-my sons John Blount and William Blount

-my son Sir John Blount

-my son Sir William Blount

-my daughter Joan

-John Pygot

-Elizabeth Eyton

-Roger Blount

-my son Thomas Blount

She made John Blount and William Blount her executors.
