In the probate bond for “Thomas Brees, late of the Parish of Trefeglwys Innholder”, bound were John Brees and Richard Evans of Trefeglwys, yeomen.


From the probate record:


Whereas Thomas Brees late of the Parish of Trevegloes in the County of Montgomery within the Diocese of Bangor Inn holder departed this Life on or about the Thirtieth Day of December last Intestate leaving behind him me the underwritten Ann Brees of the Parish of Trevegloes aforesaid his widow & next of Kin Now Know All Men by these Presents that I the said Ann Brees for divers Good Causes and Considerations me hereunto Especially moving Do expresly Renounce the Letters of Administration of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased To the End that Letters of Administration of the said dec[eas]ed may be Granted unto John Brees of the Parish of Trevegloes aforesaid yeom[an] Executor of the Last will and Testament of Samuel Brees late of Trevegloes aforesaid yeom[an] deceased one of the Creditors of the said Thomas Brees Dec[eas]ed And to the End that this my Proxy of Renuntiation may have its due effect in Law I Do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint Robert Edwards gent one of the Proctors of the Ecclesiastical Court of Bangor or any other Proctor of the said Court to be my true and Lawfull Proctor for me and in my name to appear before the Worshipfull [blank] Doctor in Divinity Vicar Generall & officiall Principall of the Right Reverend John by Divine Provision Lord Bishop of Bangor his Surrogate or some other Competent in this Behalf to Exhibit this my Proxy of Renuntiation & Proxy the same to be [...] And I Do hereby promise to allow for firm and Valid all & whatsoever my said Proctor shall lawfully Do or Cause to be Done for me and in my House in and Touching the Premises In Witness whereof I do hereby have hereunto Sett my Hand and Seal this 18th Janry 1765
