Relationships

Father: uncertain.

Mother: unknown.

Ormerod (2:90) expresses some doubt about the exact nature of the relationship between Sir Richard and a Ranulph de Kingsley attested in 1230-32, and a Richard de Kingsley attested 1209-18. The elder Richard was a son of Ranulph de Kingsley and Leuca, and that Ranulph was the son of another Ranulph. A pedigree from the pleas of the Circuit of the Forests of Mara and Moundren taken 31 Edward I, given in the Visitation of Cheshire (p. 83), gives Richard's father as Ranulph.

Spouse: unknown.

Spouse: Joan, daughter of Alexander Sylvester, lord of Stourton.

This relationship is given by Ormerod (2:90).
