This relationship is given in the 1623 Visitation of Surrey (Bannerman, p. 31), and it is supported by arms in shields in stained glass, dated to 1596 and 1599, described by Collectanea Topographica et Genealogica (3:154), and given in a sketch by Ellis (opposite p. 193).
