Carr (2017, p. 223) gives, with his translation, this praise from the contemporary poet Rhisierdyn:

Myfanwy, lywy oleuwedd - briflwys,

Mygr hoywlamp Bowys, magwyr hywedd.

Gofynnai fawlgerdd yn gyfannedd,

Gwenlys eurswllt bobl, gwinllys orsedd

Gwasgawd inseilwawd ansalwedd - arfer,

Gymar hy ener, gem rhianedd

[Myfanwy, the fairest, pleasant and bright her appearance,

Fair and splendid lantern of Powys, patroness who provides rich feasts.

She was ever worthy of a poem of praise,

The fair [one] of the people, who receive a fine gift,

Patroness of true poetry full of beauty,

Partner of a gallant lord, a jewel among women]
