Mother: Joan de Millom.

This relationship is given by the Lancashire VCH (3:sub Lathom). Ormerod (p. 63) and Baines (4:199) give Robert’s first wife, Amicia de Alfreton, as the mother, but the VCH notes that the fact that her manors did not remain with the Lathom family suggests that she died without children. Ormerod and Baines show no awareness of Robert's second marriage.
