The Généalogie historique de la maison de Sabran-Pontevès (p. 115) gives an estimated birth date of about 1080, but Manteyer (p. 409) states that Guillaume is attested between August 1065 and January 1109.

Place of Birth: unknown.

Date of Death: between January 1109 and 1138.

According to Manteyer (p. 409), Guillaume was last attested in January 1109, and Cawley cites a donation by Adelais and her sons (Ripert-Monclar p. 29) showing that Guillaume was dead by 1138.

Relationships

Father: uncertain.

There seems to be disagreement about the parentage of Guillaume. The Généalogie historique de la maison de Sabran-Pontevès (p. 113) makes his father Guillaume (I) de Sabran. Manteyer (p. 409) states that the father of Guillaume appears to have been Rostaing, the son of Émenon, the son of Rostaing and Belletrude.

Mother: unknown.

Spouse: Adelais.
