Roger Almond
Roger’s 1748 marriage bond gives his occupation as bucklemaker. Parish register entries show that he was resident in Millgate, Wigan, in the 1760s and 1770s (and in 1813, if the burial record of Betty Almond, aged 77, wife of Roger Almond, was that of his wife, as seems very likely.)

Robert’s mother is given as Ann in his baptism record. Her surname is recorded in her marriage record. Roger is named in Ann’s will.
Spouse: Jane Langshaw (buried 18 October 1776 in Wigan). Married January 1748/9 in Winwick, Lancashire (Chapel of Lowton).
This marriage is recorded in the bishop’s transcripts for the parish register of Winwick. There is also a 1 January 1748 marriage bond.
Spouse: Elizabeth Laithwait (about 1736 - 1813). Married 19 December 1779 in Wigan.

Commentary
The handwriting of the signatures makes it clear that the Roger Almond who signed the marriage bond in 1748 is the same Roger who signed the marriage allegation for his daughter Betty Almond in 1798.
