Relationships

Father: Eudes I “Borel”, duke of Burgundy

This relationship is given by père Anselme (1:539), by Petit (1:268), and by Bouchard (1987, p. 259; 2001, p. 54).

Mother: Sibylle de Bourgogne

This relationship is given by père Anselme (1:539), by Petit (1:268), and by Bouchard (1987, p. 259). Père Anselme states that Orderic Vitalis was in error in calling her Sibylle. Petit gives her name as Mahaut. Cawley cites a charter naming her Sybilla.

Spouse: Mathilde de Mayenne

This relationship is given by Bouchard (1987, p. 258). Père Anselme (1:539) and Petit (1:283) give Mathilde, daughter of Boson I, vicomte of Turenne, which used to be the accepted version. Todd Farmerie, in a post to soc.medieval.genealogy, summarizes the reasons for the change.
