Isabell Hollande widow hath made or caused to be made a certain incrochment upon Newton Heath, and builded part of a house and part of a barn upon same, now in the occupation of George Holland, and containeth in length by estimate three score yards, and in breadth about twelve yards. And the dwelling house is in length nineteen yards, and breadth nine footes. And one barne, in length by estimation seventeen yards, and in breadth three yards, and was presented at the last Leet Court for all the premisses, And ordered to lay open before St. James day, sub pena six pounds xiijs. iiijd. forfeited; order to lay open before Phillippe and Jacob next, sub pena vjli. xiijs. iiijd.

In the name of God Amen, the xixth: day of Februarie in the yeare of or lord god 1614, And in the yeare of the Raigne of our Soueraigne lord James by the grace of god kinge of England France and Ireland defender of the faithe &c, and of Scotland the xlviijth: I; George Holland of Newton within the parishe of Manchester and countie of Lancaster yoaman, beinge sycke in body, but of good and perfecte remembrance, (the lord be praised) knowinge my body to be mortale, and death sure to euerie creature, and the hower of deathe moste uncertaine, beinge mynded by gods assistance to sett, such goods, Cattells, and Chattells in order as the lord in mercie hath bestowed one me, doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge, That is to witt; first and principallie, I com[m]end my soule to almightie god my creator, trustinge by the meritts of Jesus Christ my only and alone redeemer to be saued, and my body to be buried in decente manner in the parishe church of Manchester, at the discretion of my executors hearafter, named.
