Also known as Giovanni II and “Maledictus”.


Kreutz (p. 121) calls him "...a rather mysterious figure, a Spoletan "comes palatii"."

Father: either Lambert, or Ioannes, son of Lambert.

Cawley gives the father as Ioannes, son of Lambert. Berto makes Ioannes II the son of Lambert, combining what Cawley makes a father and son of the same name into one person. Kreutz (p. 121 n. 23) makes him the son of Lambert. Settipani makes him the son of Lambert.

Mother: unknown.


Spouse: Sichelgaita.
