The date is given by Pierce. Guy (p. 307) gives 1161-2. Guy notes that "Rhirid Flaidd was associated with Pennant Melangell in Mochnant Uwch Rhaeadr and was granted land in the lordship of Oswestry."

Place of Death: unknown.

The date is given by Bartrum (Rhirid Flaidd 1), citing the Chirk Castle MSS at the National Library of Wales, and the Dictionary of Welsh Biography p. 675.

This relationship is shown by Bartrum (Rhirid Flaidd 1) and given by Pierce, citing a poem composed to Rhirid by Cynddelw Brydydd Mawr. Pierce states that the pedigree of Gwrgeneu is “obscure and doubtful”.

This relationship is shown by Bartrum (Rhirid Flaidd 1). Pierce cites “late medieval genealogies” giving her name as Generis, daughter of Cynfyn Hirdref, but expresses some doubt about their historicity.
