The baptism records of his children, and the newspaper death notice of his son Samuel, state that Samuel was a bookbinder. He lived in Shrewsbury in the early 1800s -- at Castle Hill in 1801, at Pride Hill in 1806, at Claremont Hill in 1808, and “near the Cross” in 1809. In 1823 he was living in Worcester.
