Jane Tiplady
Events
Date of Birth: unknown.
Place of Birth: unknown.
Jane was probably born in the 1670s, when there is a gap in the Hinderwell registers. However, she may not have been baptized there, as her sister Margaret was baptized at the age of 17 in 1694/5. The family may have been Quakers for a period.
Date of Burial: 10 November 1723.
Place of Burial: Hinderwell, Yorkshire.
The burial is recorded in the parish register.

Commentary
I give John Tiplady and Jane Harrison as the parents of Jane for these reasons:
The 1714 will of Christopher Tiplady, yeoman of Danby, mentions his brother John Tiplady, John’s wife Jane, their son Christopher, and their three unnamed daughters. Other names in the will, along with other wills and parish registers, make clear that Christopher (the yeoman) and his brother John were sons of Nicholas Tiplady of Easington. John married Jane Harrison of Runswick in Hinderwell in 1663. Their son Christopher had children baptized in Hinderwell in the 1690s and 1700s. The names Jane and Christopher, and the places Easington and Hinderwell, suggest that the Jane Tiplady of this page is part of this family.
