Commentary
Ann’s parentage
Ann was married in 1729 at Wilton. The most plausible baptism for her was in 1705 at Ellerburn, where the abode is recorded as Wilton. Her name is named Jacob Clarke in the register entry. Ann was Jacob’s eldest child. The Ellerburn register records the marriage in 1705 of “Jacobus Clarke & Alicia Eccleston”. The marriage apparently took place two days after Ann was born.
