Relationships

Father: Thomas Haye (about 1523 - 1591/2).

Thomas mentions his son William in his will.

Mother: unknown.

Spouse: Dorothy Aneston (buried 19 July 1593 in Salehurst).

Dorothy is named as Willliam's wife in documents recording real estate transactions in 1580 and 1592. The burial is given by the Sussex Family History Group in their transcription of the parish register (“Mrs. William Hay”).

Spouse: Mary (probably Everenden, widow of Edmund Hawes.) Married December 1593 in Salehurst, Sussex.

The marriage to Mary Hawes is given by Reed (p. 238). I think Mary was probably born Mary Everenden, and was the widow of Edmund Hawes.
