Commentary
John’s parentage:
In his 1558 will, William Chambers alias Ireland made clear that he had two sons named John. In his 1597 will, John Chambers alias Ireland of Rowley (the John of this page) named his brother John Chambers and his sister Wainwright. In his 1599 will, John Chambers alias Ireland named his sister Wainwright.
John’s wife:
In his will, John named his wife Ales and his brother-in-law Thomas Darby. In his 1598 will, Edmonde Darby of Owldburye named his daughter Ales and her husband John Ireland.
