Herefordshire. For Robert de Tresgoz. He has his letters directed to the sheriff of Somerset for having seisin when he establishes by the aforesaid sheriff of Herefordshire that he has received security etc., as aforesaid.

20/364 (01 July 1236)

1 July. Berkeley. Herefordshire. For Robert de Tresgoz. The king has taken the homage of Robert de Tresgoz, son and heir of Sibyl of Ewyas , for all lands that Sibyl held of the king in chief. Order to the sheriff of Herefordshire that, having accepted security from Robert for rendering £100 to the king for his relief, he is to cause him to have full seisin of all lands formerly of the same Sibyl in his bailiwick on the day she died which fall to him by hereditary right. Once he has received the aforesaid security, he is to signify this to the sheriff of Somerset , to whom the king has commanded that when he receives the letters of the sheriff of Herefordshire concerning the aforesaid security, he is to cause Robert to have full seisin of all lands formerly of the aforesaid Sibyl in his bailiwick,

20/394 (21 July 1236)

Order to the barons of the Exchequer to place in respite the demand for £100 which Robert de Tresgoz owes the king for his relief of the lands formerly of Sibyl of Ewyas, his mother, until the octaves of Michaelmas in the twentieth year.

20/395 (21 July 1236)

Order to the sheriff of Worcestershire to permit him to have peace from the aforesaid demand until the aforesaid term.
