Roger Almond (died 1729)

Roger is presumably the spurrier in a 1685 petition cited by Sinclair (2:152). In his children’s baptism records and his burial record, his residence is generally given as Hallgate, in Wigan. In 1720, his house in Hallgate was assessed at four and a half shillings for the relief of the poor. (Sinclair 2:207).

Mother: Grace (buried 27 January 1693/4).

Grace is named as James’s wife in Court Leet Rolls of the time period. James Almond names her as his wife in his will. Her burial record describes her as "Grace Almond widdow".
