Thomas's will:


In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Adamson of Lofthouse in the County of York Yeoman being of perfect and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament out this third day of January in the Even by Second Year of the reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second over Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred forty eight or nine in manner and form following first I Give my Soul to almighty God and my Body to be Buried at the appointmt of my Exect hereafter named and asa for my Temporal Estate I dispose thereof as followeth I Give and bequeath to my son Thomas Adamson and to his heirs and assignes for Ever all my Hous or out houses and Lands sictuate in Lofthouse aforesaid with all its appurtenances also I Give to him my said son the Bed and Bed Furniture in the parlour where I now lye. also the Clock and Fire Grate or range also I Give to my daughter Elizabeth Sayer and to her Exects admrs and assignes all my right and Title in one leasehold house Held by lease under Lord Viscount Holconbery scituate in Flapper Gole in Yarm in the said County of York, also I Give to her my said daughter one Guilder[?] and all her mothers Close Except one Cotton Gown I Give to my said Son and daughter Equally between them all the Houshold stuff not before given also I give to my Grandson John Sayer Three pounds to be paid him when he comes to twenty one years of age, also I Give to my Grand Child Mary Sayer two pounds when she comes to twenty one years of age also I Give her my said Grandaughter one Silver Cup and one Cotton Gown and I do make and ordain him my said Son Tho.s Adamson Sole Exec.r of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking and making nul and void all former wills and writings by me made or in my name to the contrary In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal the day and Year first above written. Thos Adamson Signed Sealed published and declared to be the last will and Testament of the said Thomas Adamson in the prence of us. Cha: Smith Jno Clarke John Clarber. This will past the Seal 1.st day of March 1749.
