Commentary

Robert and Margaret’s children were having their own children in the 1630s. The 1599 marriage of Robert Wilson to Margaret is therefore in right time period. Robert is given the byname “black” in his marriage record, suggesting he belongs in the family of John Wilson black and Ellen.
