This relationship is given by Baldwin, by Bouchard (1987, p. 263; 2001, p. 19), and by Glocker (p. 297). Saint-Phalle identifies Aubry with the vicomte of Orléans of the same name, and makes Beatrix the daughter of a previous marriage that this Aubry had. Baldwin regards this as improbable.
