Relationships

Father: John Draper.

Mother: Sibbell.

The 1614 Visitation of Nottinghamshire (p. 136) gives these parents, noting that John Draper was of Flintham, Nottinghamshire. Given that the Visitation is here giving information on a period two centuries earlier, it is not clear how much confidence can be placed in its reliability, in the absence of corroborating evidence.

Spouse: Elizabeth Wymondham.

The 1614 Visitation of Nottinghamshire (p. 136) describes Elizabeth as being the daughter of Wymondham of Claxton in Com. Nottingham, noting that Harl. 1400 gives the county as Leicestershire.

Children:

Thomas Draper married a daughter of Henry Auger.

The National Archives catalogue records several early Drapers as witnesses to grants made at Flintham:

1337: William Draper

1348: Peter Draper of Screveton

1391: Thomas Draper, John Draper

1465: Thomas Draper of Fenny Drayton
