George Deeley (baptized 7 June 1601 in Halesowen, Worcestershire) married Anne Hadley 26 October 1628 in Halesowen.
Evidence
From Hobday’s transcription of the Halesowen parish register:
[Anno dni 1590.]
Elizabeth Deeley, daughter of Richard Deeley, was Baptized the vth daye of maye.
[Ano Domi 1601.]
b. George, the sonn of Richard Deeley, was baptised the 7th of June.
[Ano domi 1612.]
Agnis Deeley, daughter of Richard, was baptised the vjth of maye.
[1623]
Richard Deelie and Marie Luckcoke were maried the 20th of Janurye.
Commentary
The only evidence that I have for Richard’s parentage is the 1621 will of John Deeley, which names Richard as his son and executor. However, from the parish register it seems that there was more than one Richard Deeley active in Halesowen in the period, and I am not sure that John’s will refers to the Richard Deeley of this page.
