This relationship is not certain. A John Smith and Margaret lived in Burtonwood in the 1720s, had children baptized and buried during that time, and there is no record of them after 1730. However, I have not located John’s burial. And Margaret is still described as “Margaret Smith widow” in the December 1730 burial record of Ann.
