Everyone seems to be excited about tonight's game. What they're not excited about is the drive? Living in South Dakota, many of us were used to driving long distances for athletic events, and I think I've gotten spoiled in this area when the furtherest we normally drive is an hour to Okoboji.
In Literature 9 we again discussed Author's Tone. This is a difficult concept to understand, so we're taking it a little slowly. Then we review the vocabulary words related to the play "Red Carnations". We discussed the costume and clothing styles of the 1920's. We started reading the one-act, but unfortunately we didn't get too far. I hope we can finish it tomorrow.
In English 10 we finished our last review of parts of speech. I'm hoping that we have lots of good grades on tomorrow's quiz. Then we completed the last of the vocabulary words. We will have that test next Wednesday. With ITED's next week, everything is sort of messed up (when it comes to scheduling). We then straightened out the entire google docs thing. We're learning together how this works. Then we got to discussing the body of a speech. They should begin researching their topic as I hope that we're giving these speeches next week (Thursday and/or Friday).
In American Government we finished discussing the Anti-Federalists and Federalists factions. We then reviewed the ratification process of the United States Constitution. We began our discussion of the Great Seal and what all the symbols mean. We will then compare it to the Founding Father's vision and whether we line up with that vision today.
Good luck CL-GLR! Play well and leave it all on the field.
