Everyone seemed a little tired today. It was rough, as we were all sad about the outcome of last night's game. The girls played well, and we are very proud of them. I just wish the outcome would have been different.
In Literature 9 we started the book To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm so excited that I get to teach another set of students this wonderful book. We read and discussed Chapter 1. Everyone had their vocabulary done (AWESOME!!!), and we also took our check over the story. I know that everyone will enjoy this book as much as the previous classes.
In English 10 we began our business meetings that demonstrate Parliamentary Procedure. It got pretty lively, and it is always so much fun. We're also studying prepositional phrases (too many "p's" flying around. I moved back when their power point is due for the vocabulary related to social sciences (It's now due Thursday.)
In American Literature we took a reading check on Of Mice and Men. We then discussed the chapter. Later we moved on and finished our discussion of Moby Dick. We will be taking a quiz over that great novel on Thursday. Then we will be moving onto Huckleberry Finn and Mark Twain.
In Law we discussed the court case we watched on 48 Hours. We're not sure how we would react. Then we reviewed the structure of courts - trial vs. appellate.
I hope everyone can catch up some much needed rest.
