Today just flew by; I'm sitting here during my eighth hour prep period wondering where the day went.
In Literature 9 we reviewed the elements of the story "The Interlopers". We did take some time out during bellringers to discuss abstracting. Abstracting is when take a story and look at it in a different light. For example, "The Lady or the Tiger" could look a lot like the game show "Let's Make a Deal". Both deal with the fact that behind one door could be a prize and behind the other could be a "ZOINK!" We will continue to review tomorrow and then take our test on Thursday.
In English 10 second hour we worked with imperative sentences. Then we worked with a worksheet. Sixth hour we tried to focus on our personal narrative speeches - the rules, the outline, etc. Sixth hour will begin their speeches tomorrow because we don't have class on Friday. Second hour will begin on Thursday. This will be the last major grade before the end of the quarter.
In American Literature everyone was introduced to Kahoot. This review game got pretty loud, and I must say, a little heated at points. It was fun to see everyone enjoying the game itself. We then reviewed the study guide for Puritan Literature. Our unit test will be on Thursday.
Good luck to the cross country team as well as the volleyball team. Run well! Spike hard! and be proud to be a Mustang!
