I don't know what it is, but I'm definitely suffering from the blues. I've heard of the October "blues," but it's November, and I usually don't struggle spiritually to come to school. And believe me, I'm getting enough sleep. Oh well, I'll suck it up and return to my passionate self.
In Literature 9 we took a few minutes to walk around the room and look at the wonderful one-pagers. We're going to be evaluating them tomorrow after our test. I was so pleased - they look amazing! For the rest of the class period, we worked on reviewing for our vocabulary test. I shared two websites that review (you should have received them in an email.) Also, we worked with the SMART board reviewing the words. Tomorrow is our test, and then we will be moving onto our next unit Rewards and Sacrifices.
In English 10 we reviewed our Vocal Personality notes, and then everyone took their quiz. I don't think it was too bad, but I couldn't tell from their facial expressions. We didn't have a lot of time to begin our next unit, so all I did was distribute the unit plan. We'll go on from there tomorrow.
In American Literature we continued to work with our Red Badge of Courage. Originally my plan was to finish the packet and quiz on Thursday, but that doesn't look like it will happen. We will finish on Thursday, and then take our quiz on Friday. I'm not sure how to handle the fact that 3rd hour won't meet because of the Veteran's Day program. Maybe they can take their quiz with Mr. Judge.
Home to sheetrock and insulate! It's getting harder and harder to juggle remodeling and teaching. I can't wait until the remodeling is done.
