A very long day. When we have 60's project, I end up losing my prep, and that causes me to forget to blog. Sorry about that everyone.
In Literature 9, we shared the information we learned from the video and page 358 (JFK's biography). Then we continued to look at the speech of 1963 (prelude to the Civil Rights Act). We highlighted, labeled, etc. We didn't quite get to all the definitions and terms, but that's ok.
In English 10 the groups verified their topics, elected their panel leaders, and reviewed three more vocabulary words related to Social Sciences. Everyone should be researching their topics.
In American Literature we continued with our discussion of Emerson and Transcendentalism. We watched Schmoop's explanation of "Self-Reliance" (I love the comedy of Schmoop). Then as vocabulary groups, they took their vocabulary quiz. For Tuesday, please read Emerson's poetry.
In Law, we watched the 60 Minutes episode "Picking Cotton". We then ended up in the middle of her TED talk, which we will finish on Monday.
Have a great weekend everyone!
