With play practices under way, along with a few personal obligations, I officially feel overwhelmed. I think I'll adopt the Dori's mantra - "Just keep on swimming."
In English 10 we started giving our first speeches. Wow! They were prepared, organized, and wonderfully delivered. Great job!
In American Government, it was nice to see them. I haven't seen them for over a week, so we had a little catching up to do. We reviewed the Current Events forum, and it seemed no one had too many difficulties. Then we uploaded and shared our photo collages (4 Purposes of Government). We reviewed the section, discussed the importance of this basic information, and then took a quiz. We will be talking about the importance of a Constitution next time (Friday).
In Literature 9 we compared the two types of biographies - historical narratives along with a biographical essay. We developed three questions to ask a classmate, then we shared our information. Somewhat like a biographer would share information about their subjects. In one class we had time to review the vocabulary, but in the other we went over the answers to "Zooley". We'll try to get both classes on the same page tomorrow. They were asked to read the story for tomorrow.
Have a great Wednesday. See you tomorrow.
