Sunshine! And warmth! Oh, I am so ready for spring. Congratulations to the track team as well as the golfers. Great job!
In Literature 10, I read Chapter 10 aloud. We then returned to our study guide and worked on the questions - like what is an allegory and how is this chapter symbolic. Everyone turned in their vocabulary exercises, and unfortunately, several people were not done. We will be taking a quiz tomorrow over chapters 6-10. Be sure to have your study guide done.
In English 10, we worked with Scene 1-2 of Act 2. We completed a paraphrase of both Romeo's soliloquy and Juliet's monologue. We didn't get to the figurative language, but everyone should complete the bottom half of the worksheet on quotations. Those that missed seventh hour, please send me your page numbers.
In American Government, we started with a current events discussion. It was a little "lame" - no offense - but I think everyone is focusing on the weather rather than the news. We then reviewed congressional leaders and the lawmaking process in the House of Representatives. For next Monday, watch the video related to the Senate and fill out the worksheet.
In Law, we continued with our study of torts. We did a review on the SMART board, and then applied our researched torts against the four elements of a tort. We started our packet on torts and discussed duty of care - professional, landowners, and vehicle. We will have a quick quiz tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone!
