I hope everyone had a great weekend! I really enjoyed myself this weekend as I had the opportunity to see my parents, go shopping with my sister, and laugh with my niece (who is about to graduate from high school). Family is so amazing!
In Literature 9 we started with reviewing Idioms on the worksheet I distributed last week. Now that we've defined them, let's be on the lookout for them. We then took our reading check for Chapter 12. We aren't going to take one for Chapter 13 - just talk about it. We worked on the characterization of Calpurnia by completing a worksheet (#7 to be exact). For tomorrow, read Chapter 14 and be sure the vocabulary is completed.
In English 10 it was time to don the costumes once again. We all blushed a bit at Mercutio and Romeo's verbal jousting. There is some lusty language in this play Mr. Shakespeare! For tomorrow, please read for 10 minutes and complete the questions for Scenes 1-4. Hopefully tomorrow we can finish Act II.
In American Government, we finished "A Day in Congress". Then everyone worked on a comparison of the House and Senate. This can get very trivial, so study primarily the quiz I returned. I distributed notes for "How a BIll becomes a law". You should watch this video and be prepared for a reading check.
In Law, we started to discuss Intentional Torts. To me, it seems quite obvious - an intentional tort is on purpose, but at times the waters are a little murky. We will finish torts up this week and solve our crime next week.
Have a great Monday! Don't blow away!
