Why is this building so cold? I'm thankful that my room is holding in the heat, but when I step out into the hallway, burrrr! We're working on our Perseverance Project, and I am excited. I hope that all the pieces fall into place.
In Literature 9 we played a little Kahoot to prepare for our quiz. We had some winners, and those, in the words of Madison Eben, "there are no wrong answers, just the ability to learn." I loved that attitude! We then took our quiz, and I didn't see the struggle that I did the first time. For homework, everyone is to read page 56 (the biography of Edgar Allan Poe) and write down three facts that are brain cell worthy.
In English 10, we reviewed for our test on the Art of Communication. We played some Kahoot, discussed the Padlet reviews, and then looked through our notes and decided what would definitely be on the test. For homework, study those notes and prepare for tomorrow's unit test.
In American Literature, we had a few book talks. I'm so impressed with what's happening in my classroom when it comes to reading. I know that some students just dislike this, but sometimes we have to do things that we don't always like. Then we reviewed the key concepts of the Puritan legacy, the Puritan style, and the Puritan Philosophy. I know that it was a review of the prior video notes, but it's a good review before we take our test. Tomorrow will be our Puritan test. It will include a skills portion, where you'll be reading something about or by a person of that time period.
Have a great Thursday everyone. Good luck to the volleyball girls this evening.
