O.K. so today was harder to get going than yesterday. I forgot how tired I could be at the end of a day teaching.
In Literature 9 we finished a vocabulary lesson from "The Scarlet Ibis" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". Then we introduced the story "The Necklace". We discussed the third person omniscient point of view, and the greed of Mme. Louisel. Tomorrow we will finish our discussion of this short story and move onto "The Son from America."
In English 10 students presented the first five words from the vocabulary lesson on Social Science. Then we discussed privileged motions. Tomorrow we will finish "incidental" motions and prepare for our business meetings on Thursday and Friday.
In American Literature we worked on stream of consciousness in the "Pit and the Pendulum". We're going to finish up Poe on Thursday and then take our Romanticism test on Tuesday of next week.
In Law we're still trying to finish up the Supreme Court and the famous cases it has decided. It's taking a little longer, but that's o.k. as we have some wonderful conversations!
