Today feels like the start of winter. It's dark, rainy, and I have even heard the rumble of thunder. Yuck! I guess it had to start sometime.
In Literature 9 first hour only met for about twenty minutes. That gave us time to review the vocabulary (both the major vocab and the Expand your Vocab). We didn't get too far. Everyone has a CLOSE (note-type activity) to complete before Friday. In fifth hour we reviewed the various points of view and also the Expand Your Vocabulary. We took a quiz (which first hour won't take until Friday).
In English 10 again only sixth hour met. We had a total of four speeches, and then we discussed our Story Corps assignment. Everyone must have fifteen questions along with a schedule time to meet. Taking a selfie with your interviewee is required. We also discussed how this assignment could double for one of the alternatives in history class.
In American Government we started out creating a game with paper clips and dice. This was a lot like what the Founding Fathers had to do when they met in Philadelphia. They had to come up with rules, divide the resources, and figure out what the next step was. Then we took a few notes on the key agreements, as well on a few of the key individuals. We will finish those up next week. We are starting to be under the gun for time, so the pace must pick up!
I hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday.
